I'm excited to announce the Beal's Pickles & Pints Rock n Roll show! The Pickle is excited to present an evening of food, spirits, high energy rock n roll and, of course, shenanigans. The price of admission ($40) includes appetizers, chartreuse boards (catered by the Pickle) as well as 3 of Beal's favorite local bands, Myth & Co., Dan McCoy & the Standing 8s and Tim Facemyer Band. Beer, wine & spirits will also be available. The setting is the historic Centrum Theater located next to the Grog Shop in Cleveland Heights, OH. Scan the QR code on the poster (below) to get tix. Happy 2026! Due to issues with the studio I was using to mix, The Other Side of Tomorrow EP has been sidelined for the foreseeable future. Fear not, though, #dansfans! There is a new single out now on the site & available on Spotify, Apple Music, etc. next Friday, Jan. 9! You can check out Split the Difference by clicking on the image below. The new album is slated to be released in May. More info on that as it develops.

Due to circumstances currently beyond my control, the new EP will not be out by the end of the year. The project has been temporarily shelved. The good news is two new singles are being worked on & will likely see the light of day in early 2026! 

The new album is currently being mixed. Looking at an October release date & searching for a venue for a release party. Once we get everything ironed out & the details nailed down, this space will be updated with all that information. 

 

It's bicycle fundraiser time again! I'll be doing my two rides in September. Both fighting cancer. Feel free to donate to either campaign if you feel so inclined. ANY amount is GREATLY appreciated! I'm in the mixing process of a new EP entitled The Other Side of Tomorrow. In another left turn in my musical journey, this one veers off into darker, perhaps more “modern rock” territory. If you're a fan of Gaslight Anthem, Lucero, Bruce Springsteen, the Hold Steady & some 90's punk-ish vibes, then you may just dig this one. There is no set date just yet but I'm hoping to have it ready by June. Check back or on my social media for updates!

Many moons ago, when I was living in Pittsburgh, I started a band called BLOCK. We released 3 albums (2 full lengths & 1 EP) with a few songs being worked out and/or prepped for a fourth that never came to fruition. On July 9, 1998, we played a live set on 91.1 WRUW in Cleveland for their show Live From Cleveland. That set was recorded & sat in my archives for a long time. In the latter part of the this past summer, I was driving with my music on shuffle. A song from that recording came on & I felt a wave of nostalgia wash over me. I ended up listening to that song a few more times on repeat. I realized I was hearing a band starting to really hit its stride & thought it would be cool to get that song (and maybe a couple others?) out into the public. We weren't a super popular band but I knew a few of my long time fans would probably dig it. With the magic of AI I was able to isolate the individual tracks & put a better mix together while still keeping the raw integrity of the performance in tact. The result is the “new” single, Runnin' From You. The song will be available on all streaming services on Nov. 29, 2024 but you can get a sneak peak…er…listen by clicking the photo below.
